Job summary

IMEC in Leuven, Belgium, is seeking a Senior Process Engineer for Dry Etch to drive development and maturity of etch processes in multiple projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure process compatibility with other steps and contribute to low-volume production readiness.

The role requires a Master’s or PhD in a relevant field, at least 5 years in semiconductor, and strong communication skills in English.

Qualifications

• You have at least 5 years of experience in semiconductor industry including dry etch processes.
• You like to take ownership, are organized, with strong attention to detail and high quality standards.
• You work in cross-functional teams with strong communication and reporting skills.
• You are able to adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Drive etch process development in several projects and report accordingly.
• Guide interactions between the etch and other process steps.
• Bring critical etch processes to maturity for low volume production.
• Be the dry etch tool owner including safety, quality, cycle time, cost and sustainability.
• Contribute to Fab Engineering roadmap.
• Drive CIP to optimize quality and speed in production lines.
