Job summary

Vandemoortele in Ghent, Belgium is seeking a Team Lead Culinary Technical Advisors to lead a team of culinary experts and steer application, innovation and customer-focused projects. Qualifications

• Proven experience in food applications, culinary development or technical customer support in the food industry.
• Experience leading, coaching or developing teams.
• Strong knowledge of food products, ingredients and raw materials.
• Good understanding of food safety, hygiene and food legislation (HACCP).
• Commercial awareness and ability to translate customer needs into innovative food solutions.
• Strong project management and organizational skills with multiple priorities.
• Excellent presentation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and digital tools.
• Fluency in Dutch and French, plus good English.
• Knowledge of Belgian and Luxembourg foodservice market is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspire, coach and develop the Culinary Technical Advisor team.
• Act as culinary ambassador, building relationships with customers, partners and internal teams.
• Translate customer and market needs into practical product solutions.
• Coordinate masterclasses and culinary events at the Vandemoortele Food Experience Center in Ghent.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration between Facilities, Marketing and Commercial teams.
• Lead application testing, product validation and benchmarking.
• Support innovation launches with compelling product/app stories.
• Advise customers on functionality, performance and nutrition aspects.
• Manage customer-specific technical projects from concept to implementation.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, R&D, Quality and Operations to deliver customer-focused solutions.
