Blood Bank of Delmarva is seeking a Component Laboratory Lead Technician at their Newark, DE site. The role oversees manufacturing of blood products, trainings, and QC to ensure FDA/AABB compliance.

The position is essential and multiple duties include labeling, testing, and equipment maintenance. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent and 3+ years in a laboratory/manufacturing setting; an Associate degree in Biological Science is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate Degree or higher in Biological Science is preferred.
• 3+ years of related laboratory or manufacturing experience required or equivalent.
• cGMP experience is preferred.
• Experience with quality control and data entry is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and label products per SOPs.
• Perform visual inspection of products as primary reviewer.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Identify and report problems affecting products and quarantine as needed.
• Collect samples for QC and requested testing.
• Conduct testing to meet regulatory standards.
• Perform general lab cleaning, QC, and maintenance.
• Monitor inventory of lab supplies.
• Unpack and inspect shipments of blood products and donor samples.
• Enter data into BECS and generate reports.
• Prepare specialty products per procedures.
• Execute qualification, validation, and verification protocols.
• Train staff and manage day-to-day workflow.
