CellCarta is seeking a Laboratory Technician II for its Genomics Unit in Belgium. You will perform molecular analyses across platforms, including DNA/RNA work, and contribute to NGS-enabled projects.

The role requires a professional bachelor’s in Medical/Pharmaceutical/Biomedical Lab Technology or Biochemistry, at least five years of molecular lab experience, and fluency in Dutch and English. On-site, ISO 15189 quality framework, and data documentation in LIMS.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in a molecular laboratory.
• NGS experience is a plus.
• Able to use Word, Excel, and a database; willing to learn.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
• Works within a quality system (ISO 15189:2012) requiring accuracy and disciplined documentation.
• Strong reporting skills and initiative.

Responsabilités

• Perform specialized molecular analyses of varying complexity on different platforms
• Control the operation of analysis equipment and report malfunctions
• Monitor lab processes and record data in a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
• Prepare analyses, equipment, and samples according to testing requirements
• Document the laboratory work performed
• Assist with data interpretation
• Write operating procedures
