Job summary

Bombay Social in Brussels area is seeking a kitchen helper to support the kitchen team during service. You work under supervision, perform prep per instructions, and help with mise-en-place, cleaning, washing, peeling, cutting and cooking food.

During your shift you assist with orders, operate fryer and BBQ, brief colleagues for the next shift, label and store items according to HACCP, and maintain safety standards. Shifts run daily from 3:00 PM/5:30 PM to 10:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Under supervision of the kitchen responsible
• Preparations according to instructions from the person in charge
• Mise-en-place: clean, wash, peel, cut and cook food
• Assist the responsible person with orders during the shift
• Operate fryer and BBQ during service
• Provide a smooth and efficient briefing to colleagues for the next shift
• Label and store all foodstuffs according to HACCP standards
• Clean up after the shift and clean working tools
• Help with dishes during and after service
• Respect safety standards during work

Responsibilities

• Provide shift briefing to teammates for the next shift
• Label, store and manage food items following HACCP standards
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and tools
• Assist with washing dishes and supporting service as needed
• Adhere to safety and hygiene standards at all times
