Job summary

NVISO is seeking a (Junior) Security Operations Engineering Consultant in Belgium to support SOC projects, onboarding logs, and SIEM deployments, under the guidance of senior team members.

You will develop playbooks, define correlation rules, and contribute to incident response procedures while staying current with SOC trends. Strong communication and English are essential; Dutch or French is a plus. Flexible hours and home office options offered.

Qualifications

• Candidate has first years of practical experience (SOC Analyst) in cybersecurity or IT.
• Experience with Azure Sentinel and SIEM technologies (Elastic, Splunk, LogPoint) is required or highly desired.
• Familiarity with SIEM query languages or an interest in learning Sigma and YARA rules is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills are essential.
• Excellent English communication; Dutch and/or French is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in SOC projects including log onboarding and detection engineering.
• Help design and implement security solutions for customers across sectors.
• Create technical and process playbooks and define correlation rules.
• Contribute to incident response procedures and stay current with SOC trends.
