NVISO in Germany is looking for a Junior Security Operations Engineering Consultant to join our SOC‑focused team. You will assist in SOC projects, onboarding log sources, and developing detection rules under guidance from seniors.

You should have 1–2 years in cybersecurity or IT, experience with Azure Sentinel or SIEMs, and solid English and German communication. The role offers strong training, competitive salary, and flexible home-office options.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of practical experience in cybersecurity or IT
• Experience with Azure Sentinel, Microsoft Security stack, or SIEM technologies (Elastic, Splunk, LogPoint)
• Python scripting experience is a big plus
• Familiarity with SIEM query languages or interest in learning Sigma and YARA rules
• Excellent English and German communication skills
• Must hold citizenship in one of the NATO member states or Austria
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities

Responsabilités

• Plan and manage onboarding of new log sources with clients and vendors
• Create technical and process playbooks
• Define and set up correlation rules based on threat intelligence and customer requirements
• Contribute to incident response procedures
• Stay up to date with trends and technologies in the SOC
