LEGALFLY is hiring a Junior Product Engineer to help build AI‑driven legal software. You’ll work with a senior team, shipping features where AI is central to the workflow. Expect hands‑on work with LLMs, vector databases and agentic systems.

You will learn rapidly, contribute to secure spaces for customers, and grow into AI engineering roles within a fast‑growing legal tech scale‑up.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with React, Node.js and TypeScript.
• Comfort coding with AI tooling and agents in daily workflow.
• Fluent Dutch and English in professional contexts.
• Proactive, ownership-driven mindset in a fast-growing scale-up.

Your role:

As a Junior Product Engineer, you join a senior team and you build software the new way. AI is not a bonus on top of your workflow, it is at the core of how you work. You ship features alongside experienced engineers, you use AI tooling and agents as a default part of your development process and you learn at the pace this industry actually moves. This role is for someone with serious drive who wants to build a career in AI engineering, not someone looking for a comfortable first job. You will:

• Build the most secure Legal AI workspace: Contribute to the development of a secure and innovative workspace for our customers.
• Code the new way: Use AI tooling and agents as your default development environment. Move faster, ship more and learn what AI‑native engineering actually looks like in practice.
• Solve real product problems: Design and implement full‑stack solutions, with mentorship from senior engineers who take ownership of your growth.
• Work on AI‑powered features: Get hands‑on exposure to LLMs, RAG, vector databases and agentic systems, the technology powering the platform.

You might be a good fit if you:

• Have a relevant degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar, or can show you taught yourself to the same level.
• Have professional or serious hands‑on experience with React, Node.js and TypeScript.
• Code with AI by default: Cursor, Claude Code, Codex or similar are already part of how you work. You have strong opinions on what works and what does not.
• Have an enormous drive: You want to build a career in AI engineering and you are willing to put in the work to get there. Comfort is not what you are looking for.
• Are genuinely curious about AI: You experiment in your free time, you follow what is happening in the field and you have built things on top of LLMs, agents or vector databases.
• You thrive in the atmosphere of a fast‑growing scale‑up and you are comfortable with ambiguity.
• Are fluent in Dutch and English.
• Have a proactive, ownership‑driven mindset and you do not wait to be told what to do.
• Have strong problem‑solving skills and unwavering attention to detail.
