Rhox, a Belgian public-sector technology organisation, seeks a junior Java and Angular developer to contribute to DOMES, Prénatal and e-VAX applications used by public-service professionals in Wallonia and Brussels. You will work with Java 8/JEE 7 or Java 21, Spring Boot, JPA, Angular 21, NgRx, and REST/OpenAPI across a landscape of DB2 and MySQL.

The role covers technical design, implementation, testing, deployment and maintenance, with SCRUM collaboration and a focus on code quality, offline

Qualifications

• Backend Java components with Java 8/JEE 7 or Java 21, Spring Boot and JPA.
• Angular 21 frontend with Angular Material and NgRx.
• REST/OpenAPI services integrated with frontend components.
• DB2 and MySQL with Flyway for controlled database changes.
• Offline-capable web app using IndexedDB, Dexie and service workers.
• Unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito.
• Maven, GitLab CI/CD and Docker; Nexus repository.
• Contribute in SCRUM and communicate risks clearly.

Responsabilités

• Deliver backend Java and frontend Angular features for records, appointments, prenatal follow-up and vaccination workflows.
• Evolve existing modules, correcting defects and improving functionality without disrupting operational services.
• Design technical components with analysts and technical leads, identifying dependencies before implementation.
• Verify functionality through unit and integration tests, with JUnit and Mockito, and maintain appropriate coverage.
• Prepare releases across environments, validate deployments, and follow CI/CD and delivery standards.
• Improve maintainability through refactoring, code reviews, documentation and targeted library or framework updates.
