EY Belgium is seeking a skilled professional to join the independence compliance team. You will advise on auditor independence requirements for public interest entities and private companies, manage related consultations, and conduct analyses of independence procedures.

You will collaborate with EY teams worldwide to ensure consistent policy application, provide guidance on internal policies, and monitor ISQM developments. A Master’s degree in Law and fluent English are expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Law (Belgian university preferred).
• Experience in compliance, regulatory or professional services is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch or French, with fluency in English.
• A proactive team player who thrives in a dynamic environment and approaches challenges with a solution-oriented mindset.
• Digitally savvy and keen to leverage technology to drive efficiency and quality.

Responsabilités

Your Key Responsibilities

• Advise and consult on auditor independence requirements for both public interest entities and private companies.
• Manage and respond to independence-related consultations from business professionals regarding client engagements and business relationships.
• Conduct research and provide well-founded analyses of independence requirements and procedures applicable to clients.
• Collaborate closely with EY independence teams across the global network to ensure consistent application of policies and standards.
• Provide guidance on compliance with internal independence policies and assess adherence from both a firm and personal independence perspective.
• Monitor and support the implementation of independence-related ISQM requirements and regulatory developments.

Your Profile

• Master’s degree in Law (or equivalent), preferably obtained at a Belgian university.
• An initial experience in a compliance, regulatory or professional services environment is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch or French, with fluency in English.
• A proactive team player who thrives in a dynamic environment, demonstrates resilience under pressure, and approaches challenges with a solution-oriented mindset.
• Digitally savvy, with a keen interest in leveraging technology to drive efficiency and quality.
