EY Consulting in Belgium is looking for a Consultant to support digital government projects across public services. You will contribute to digital strategy, business analysis, data analysis, and change management, helping citizens and organizations achieve tangible outcomes.

You will gain hands-on experience, work with experienced professionals, and support initiatives that improve efficiency and citizen focus within the public sector.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Background in Public Management, Public Administration, Business Engineering, Business Economics, Computer Science, IT, Data Analytics, Digital Innovation or a related field.
• Eager to step outside your comfort zone and make an impact in the Belgian public sector.
• Curious about how technology can address societal challenges.

As a Consultant, you will gain hands‑on experience, work alongside experienced professionals and support initiatives that help public sector organizations become more efficient, future‑ready and citizen‑focused.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Consultant, you will support project teams both operationally and analytically while receiving coaching from experienced colleagues.

This includes:

• Analyse processes, stakeholders, needs and dependencies.
• Create presentations, analyses and reports.
• Prepare and document workshops.
• Gather, analyse and structure information.
• Translate findings into recommendations and insights.
• Support business analysis, functional analysis, data analysis and project management activities.
• Quickly learn and apply new digital topics.
• Gain exposure to digital transformation from strategic, organisational and technological perspectives.
• Actively contribute to successful project delivery.

In addition, you will support public procurement initiatives and other go‑to‑market activities that enhance EY’s visibility and reputation in the public sector.

Your Profile

You have:

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Background in Public Management, Public Administration, Business Engineering, Business Economics, Computer Science, IT, Data Analytics, Digital Innovation or a related field.
• Eager to step outside your comfort zone and make an impact in the Belgian public sector.
• Curious about how technology can address societal challenges.
• Analytical, structured and eager to learn.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Collaborative and proactive team player.
• Good knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel; experience with Power BI, Confluence or similar tools is a plus.
• Fluent professional Dutch; English and/or French are considered an advantage.
• Strong affinity with AI and genuine interest in applying new AI trends in a professional context.
