Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Law (or equivalent) with Belgian university preferred.
• Experience in a compliance, regulatory or professional services environment is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch or French, with fluency in English.

• Digitally savvy with an interest in using technology to improve efficiency and quality.

Responsabilités

• Advise and consult on auditor independence requirements for both public interest entities and private companies.
• Manage and respond to independence-related consultations from business professionals regarding client engagements and relationships.
• Conduct research and provide analyses of independence requirements and procedures for clients.
• Collaborate with EY independence teams globally to ensure consistent policy application.
• Provide guidance on compliance with internal independence policies and assess adherence from firm and personal independence perspectives.
• Monitor and support implementation of independence-related ISQM requirements and regulatory developments.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Advise and consult on auditor independence requirements for both public interest entities and private companies.
• Manage and respond to independence-related consultations from business professionals regarding client engagements and business relationships.
• Conduct research and provide well-founded analyses of independence requirements and procedures applicable to clients.
• Collaborate closely with EY independence teams across the global network to ensure consistent application of policies and standards.
• Provide guidance on compliance with internal independence policies and assess adherence from both a firm and personal independence perspective.
• Monitor and support the implementation of independence-related ISQM requirements and regulatory developments.

Your Profile

• Master’s degree in Law (or equivalent), preferably obtained at a Belgian university.
• An initial experience in a compliance, regulatory or professional services environment is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch or French, with fluency in English.
• A proactive team player who thrives in a dynamic environment, demonstrates resilience under pressure, and approaches challenges with a solution-oriented mindset.
• Digitally savvy, with a keen interest in leveraging technology to drive efficiency and quality.
