Job summary

Gate Gourmet Belgium NV, part of the gategroup, is seeking a Junior Finance Officer to support reporting, cash flow management and accounting processes. You will work within the Management Control Manager's team on project costing, budgeting, invoicing, and financial transactions.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in accounting or finance with international experience, and is fluent in English plus Dutch or French, with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or applied economics.
• Initial professional experience in an international company.
• Familiar with BE-GAAP, tax regulations, and IFRS.

Responsibilities

• Support reporting, cash flow management, AR, budgeting, and control processes.
• Analyse project costing and monitor customer profitability.
• Prepare monthly reports including results, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Verify accounting results and perform bookings; participate in invoicing.
• Collaborate with Serbian Accounting team; handle financial transactions.

Junior Finance Officer (M/F/X)

What are your main duties and responsibilities?

Support the Finance function in reporting, cash flow management, accounts receivable, financial planning, and control processes in order to provide an accurate and reliable view of the company's financial position.

As a member of the Management Control Manager's team, you will participate in the following tasks:

• Analysis and costing of various projects.
• Monitoring customer profitability.
• Participation in the preparation of the annual budget.
• Preparation of monthly reports including company results, balance sheet information, cash flow developments, etc.
• Verification of accounting results and executing some bookings.
• Participation in the invoicing process.
• Financial transactions (payments).
• Collaboration with the Serbian Accounting and Accounting team.
• Other related tasks

Who are we looking for?

• You hold at least master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Applied Economic Sciences (or equivalent)
• You have initial professional experience in an international company.
• You are familiar with BE-GAAP principles, tax regulations, and IFRS.
• You are fluent in Dutch or French and English.
• You have practical knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Knowledge of PowerBI is a plus.
• You are accurate, analytical, and have a critical mindset.
