MindCapture BV is seeking a field service engineer to install, maintain, and repair high‑tech diagnostic equipment at hospitals and laboratories across Belgium. You will ensure optimal performance and direct impact on healthcare outcomes.

You should hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electromechanics, Electromechanical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering, be fluent in Dutch with good French and English, and be comfortable with travel and on‑call duties.

• Fluent Dutch with good French and professional English.
• Willingness to travel regionally/internationally.
• Hands-on problem-solver with customer focus.
• Physically able to perform field service activities up to 20 kg.

Job Description

You will be responsible for delivering excellent post‑sales support at customer sites—installing, maintaining, and repairing high‑tech systems in hospitals, laboratories, and healthcare institutions. You’ll ensure optimal equipment performance, directly impacting healthcare quality and outcomes.

What you’ll do

• Install, configure, and maintain advanced laboratory equipment at customer locations.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, both on‑site and remotely, ensuring rapid and effective solutions.
• Provide proactive advice on preventive maintenance and system optimization.
• Deliver professional customer service and build long‑term client relationships.
• Collaborate with colleagues across technical and support teams.
• Travel regionally and occasionally internationally for training and technical meetings.

Requirements

• You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electromechanics, Electromechanical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering. We are open for starters up to candidates with 3 years of experience.
• You live in the region of Leuven, Aarschot, Diest, Tienen, Sint-Truiden and Hasselt, and are flexible to assist across Belgium when needed.
• You’re a hands‑on problem‑solver who thrives in dynamic, real‑world environments.
• You’re customer‑oriented and enjoy direct interaction with healthcare professionals.
• You are physically able to perform field service activities, including standing for extended periods, bending, kneeling, working in confined spaces when required, and safely lifting and carrying equipment of up to 20 kg.
• You are fluent in Dutch (70% of the clients) and have a good command of French (30% of the clients). You have a professional level of English (technical documentation and training, internal communication...).
• Knowledge of IT/network infrastructure is a plus.
• You’re open to working flexible hours and participating in an on‑call rotation.
• You’re eager to learn and grow within a supportive and innovative team.
