Compass Lexecon is seeking a junior economist in Brussels to join the Competition Practice. You will help provide economic analysis and advice on cases before European institutions and national authorities.

You will work closely with senior staff, learn through mentoring, and contribute to empirical work from day one. Ideal candidates hold a Master’s in economics, are highly analytical, and fluent in English.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in economics, ideally with focus on microeconomics and econometrics.
• Highly analytical with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication with colleagues and clients.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

Responsabilités

• Analyzing qualitative and quantitative client data to understand competition dynamics.
• Reviewing literature and contributing to theoretical and empirical discussions.
• Conducting empirical analysis using Excel and Stata.
• Drafting reports summarising analysis and insights.
• Participating in client meetings and conference calls.
