Compass Lexecon in Brussels seeks Economists to support competition policy work before the European Commission, General Court, and national authorities. You will connect economic theory with empirical evidence, lead case work, and mentor junior staff in a collaborative, international team.

Ideal candidates hold a PhD or Master’s with relevant experience, are comfortable with Excel and Stata, and enjoy client meetings while managing project deliverables and timelines.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in economics, preferably in industrial organisation or applied econometrics.
• Master’s/Bachelor’s in economics with 2–4 years in competition economics.

Responsibilities

• Interact with clients to understand industry dynamics.
• Develop theoretical and empirical approaches for cases.
• Review literature to support economic arguments.
• Conduct empirical analysis using Excel and Stata.
• Oversee day-to-day project operations.
