Elia Group is seeking a Junior Expert Digital Substations to contribute to the development and deployment of advanced digital technologies in Elia’s substations. You will join the Virtual Substations team and help shape the substations of tomorrow.

You will design and engineer digital PAC systems, model IEC 61850 data using SCL, and collaborate with experts and manufacturers to deliver innovative solutions, while growing your knowledge in protection and control engineering.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Electromechanical/Automation Engineering or equivalent
• Fluent in English and either Dutch or French
• Interest in digital substations and protection & control systems
• Willingness to learn SCL modelling and PAC engineering lifecycle
• Familiarity with IEC 61850 is a plus
• Strong analytical and communication skills

Responsabilités

• Support design and engineering of digital PAC systems for high-voltage substations
• Develop and maintain IEC 61850 system models and SCL files
• Contribute to engineering methodologies and tool development for digital substations
• Support testing, simulation and validation to IEC 61850 requirements
• Collaborate with internal experts, manufacturers and integrators
• Prepare technical documentation and present concepts to stakeholders
