Job summary

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Brussels seeks ambitious lawyers to advise clients on corporate and finance matters. You will draft and negotiate corporate/M&A contracts and capital markets documentation, manage transactions and due diligences, and nurture client relationships.

The role involves participating in business development, training junior team members, and collaborating with diverse teams across offices in a multilingual environment. Fluency in English, Dutch and French is expected.

Qualifications

• Ambitious and highly motivated lawyers with first-rate technical and commercial abilities.
• Belgian law degree with strong academic records; post-graduate degree is a plus.
• Creative, curious and rigorous; excellent communication; capable of high responsibility.

Key responsibilities

• Advising clients on a wide range of corporate and finance law matters;
• Drafting/negotiating corporate/M&A contracts, as well as equity and debt capital markets documentation;
• Managing transactions and performing legal due diligences;
• Managing client relationships;
• Actively participating in business development activities and client events;
• Training/managing junior team members.
