Job summary

Akkodis in Zaventem, Belgium, is looking for a junior procurement professional to support end-to-end sourcing for direct components within a defined commodity scope.

You will prepare RFQs, analyze quotes, monitor orders, and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Logistics to meet technical and delivery requirements.

This role offers a permanent contract, a strong compensation package, and hybrid working with 2-3 days remote per week, starting asap.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant field.
• First experience in Direct Purchasing or Procurement through internship, apprenticeship, graduate programme or junior role.
• Exposure to industrial manufacturing environment is mandatory.
• Experience in Automotive, Railway or Aerospace industries is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end sourcing activities for direct components within your assigned commodity scope.
• Prepare RFQs and manage supplier bid collection.
• Analyse supplier quotations and support commercial evaluations.
• Follow up with suppliers throughout the sourcing process.
• Assist in supplier selection and qualification activities.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality and Logistics to ensure compliance with technical and delivery requirements.
• Monitor purchase orders and supplier delivery schedules.
• Track supplier commitments and proactively escalate risks or deviations.
• Contribute to cost reduction and value-improvement initiatives.
• Support the preparation of purchasing reports, KPIs and management presentations.
• Participate in a new product launch project within a leading automotive environment.

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
• First experience in Direct Purchasing or Procurement through: an internship; an apprenticeship; a graduate programme or a junior purchasing role.
• Exposure to an industrial manufacturing environment is mandatory.
• Experience in Automotive, Railway or Aerospace industries is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical and organisational skills.
• Comfortable interacting with multiple stakeholders in a cross-functional environment.
• Knowledge of SAP or another ERP system is considered an asset.
• Curious, proactive and eager to learn.
• Able to take ownership of responsibilities from an early stage.
• Motivated to develop long-term expertise in strategic purchasing and supplier management.

Location: Zaventem, Belgium. Hybrid working model with 2 to 3 days remote per week. Mission duration of minimum 2 years. Start as soon as possible.
