Job summary

Comate Engineering & Design in Leuven is seeking a Junior Business Developer to grow our life sciences business. You will talk to prospective clients about our innovative hardware and life-science solutions, work with marketing to craft compelling stories, and provide market insights to both clients and internal teams.

You should hold a Master’s degree in engineering, have strong communication and negotiation skills, and be fluent in Dutch and English.

The role of junior business developer offers a high degree of autonomy and requires an entrepreneurial spirit to make it happen.

You will:

• Tell our prospective clients about our passionate team of engineers and designers. Show them that we develop unique devices within life science that are more innovative and more advanced than anything that is currently available.
• Work closely with the marketing team to build a story that sticks.
• Provide a perspective to both client and internal teams, delivering critical business insights and launching initiatives that impact the market.
• Network actively, set up calls, handle contract negotiations and help the customers to solve their problem.

Requirements

• You have a master's degree within engineering.
• A first experience in sales and/or engineering is a plus, however experience is not required.
• You have excellent communication & negotiation skills
• A positive attitude & plenty of initiative
• You're fluent in Dutch and English (oral and written)
• Energy, focus and the will to achieve
• The highest professional standards
• You're an assertive closer, you seal the deal
