Showpad in Ghent is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our growing finance team. This entry-level role offers hands‑on experience managing daily cash reconciliations, handling credit card expenses, and maintaining a high volume of accounts payable transactions.

You will contribute to month-end close, support senior accountants, and help maintain accurate financial records as part of a hybrid team working two days in the office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Fast and accurate data entry with strong attention to detail, crucial for high‑volume invoicing.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, basic formulas) and ability to learn new accounting software.
• Strong time‑management skills, proactivity, and ability to meet daily deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication with internal teams and external vendors.

Responsabilités

• Enter and process a minimum of 60 A/P invoices per day.
• Perform daily cash reconciliations to match bank statements with ledgers.
• Track, verify, and reconcile corporate credit card expenses and receipts.
• Maintain organized financial records and assist with digital filing.
• Assist the senior accounting team with month‑end closing procedures and special projects.

About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented, motivated Junior Accountant to join our growing finance team. This is an ideal entry-level position for a recent university graduate looking to kickstart their career in accounting. In this role, you will gain hands‑on experience by managing daily cash reconciliations, handling credit card expenses, and maintaining a high volume of accounts payable transactions.

What you will be doing:

• High‑Volume Accounts Payable: Accurately enter and process a minimum of 60 A/P invoices per day into our accounting system.
• Cash Reconciliations: Perform daily cash reconciliations to ensure all bank statements match internal ledgers.
• Credit Card Management: Track, verify, and reconcile corporate credit card expenses and receipts.
• Data Entry & Maintenance: Maintain organized financial records and assist with digital filing.
• Team Support: Assist the senior accounting team with month‑end closing procedures and special projects as needed.

What we are looking for:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Data Accuracy: Fast and accurate data entry skills with a strong eye for detail (crucial for managing high‑volume invoicing).
• Technical Savvy: Proficiency in MS Excel (vlookups, basic formulas) and a quick ability to learn new accounting software.
