To support our business, we are looking for a Finance Project Specialist & Accountant to join our European Finance team in a hybrid role combining finance project coordination with hands‑on accounting.

Position Summary

The Finance Project Specialist & Accountant is a role within the European Finance organisation, combining the coordination of finance projects and process improvement initiatives, including post‑acquisition related projects, with selected accounting activities across European legal entities. You’ll drive process improvement and post‑acquisition integration work, while also contributing to month‑end closings and group reporting as a back‑up to Group Controlling & Reporting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate finance projects, including ERP implementations/upgrades, e‑invoicing, AP/AR harmonisation, VAT reporting, and post‑acquisition integration activities
• Support finance process standardisation and automation initiatives across European entities
• Manage project documentation, timelines, milestones, and stakeholder alignment
• Contribute to accounting activities across European entities, including group reconciliations and cross‑entity coordination
• Support monthly, half‑year, and year‑end closings in accordance with Swiss GAAP FER
• Support statutory reporting and filings (VAT, corporate tax) and transfer pricing documentation
• Collaborate with local finance teams, IT, auditors, and external advisors
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and local regulations
• Act as back‑up for Group Controlling & Reporting and support ad‑hoc analyses and group‑level requests
• Act as a bridge between operational finance teams and group‑level stakeholders

Experience & Qualifications

• 7+ years in finance & accounting in an international, multi‑entity environment
• Proven track record coordinating finance projects (ERP, integrations, process improvement)
• Solid international accounting knowledge; Swiss GAAP FER a plus
• Strong Excel skills; comfortable with ERP systems and modern finance tools
• Curiosity about AI tools — hands‑on experience is a plus
• Fluent English; German a strong advantage
• Structured, hands‑on, self‑driven, with strong ownership
