A dynamic accounting firm in Antwerp is seeking an A-to-Y Accountant to support innovative start-ups and scale-ups. The role involves managing day-to-day accounting processes, preparing financial reports, and monitoring tax obligations. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of experience, are fluent in Dutch, and are skilled in digital tools. Responsabilités

• Handle full day-to-day accounting for multiple clients.
• Prepare monthly and yearly closings.
• Create interim figures and management reports.
• Monitor invoicing, payments and expense processing.
• Follow VAT returns, corporate tax filings and other fiscal obligations.
• Prepare forecasts and cash planning.
• Support audits, internal and external.
• Make financial processes smarter, faster, and more digital.
• Manage portfolio of clients and act as sparring partner for accounting and financial flow.

What you’ll do (and why it’s different here)

You support clients across their financial processes from A to Y – without the formal ITAA title, but with the freedom, autonomy, and variety you won’t find elsewhere. No dusty files: instead you’ll work with scale-ups, innovative business models, and companies that embrace change. Your responsibilities may include:

• Handling the full day-to-day accounting for multiple clients, from purchase entries to the balance sheet.
• Preparing monthly and yearly closings so our CFOs can move quickly.
• Creating interim figures, annual accounts, and modern management reports.
• Monitoring invoicing, payments, and expense processing with a critical eye.
• Following up on VAT returns, corporate tax filings, and other fiscal obligations.
• Preparing forecasts and cash planning – one of the most crucial pillars for high-growth companies.
• Supporting clients during audits, both internal and external.
• Making financial processes smarter, faster, and more digital.
• Managing your own portfolio of clients and acting as their first sparring partner for anything related to accounting and financial flow.

• An accountant with 3–5 years of experience and the ambition to keep growing.
• Fluent in Dutch and comfortable in English.
• Confident with digital tools: you master MS Office and quickly learn new accounting systems.
• Strong analytical skills; structured and precise – yet not rigid.
• Someone who takes initiative, embraces ownership, and likes to get things done.
• Flexible, quick to adapt, and able to maintain oversight.
• Discreet with confidential information.
