Job summary

BIG WATER CONSULTING (BWC) in Brussels is seeking a Java Developer for a hybrid 50/50 on-site and teleworking role on a permanent contract. The position is suitable for developers with strong Java and Spring Boot experience and a focus on microservices and cloud-ready architectures.

You will work in an Agile team to design, develop, test and integrate software, delivering sprint backlog items and product increments.

Qualifications

Job description

BWC is looking for a Java Developer for its client in Brussels, Belgium. It's a full-time permanent contract with BWC. Freelance can also apply.

Job Type: Hybrid :- 50% Onsite + 50% Teleworking in Belgium.

• Language: English is mandatory, French : Spoken language on the floor, and Dutch: Nice to have.
• Experience: At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong expertise in Java with Spring Boot.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of Microservices.
• Excellent understanding of architecture, including hardware, operating systems, networking, databases, and middleware.
• Knowledge of methods, standards, security procedures, and development tools.
• Knowledge of Agile methodology.
• Ability to contribute to the design, development, testing, and integration of software within an Agile team.
• Commitment to delivering the sprint backlog and valuable product increments at the end of each sprint.
• Ability to collaborate with team members beyond one's own specific knowledge domain.
• Experience with integration across different technologies, including distributed systems, mainframe systems, and infrastructure components, is preferable.
• Cloud development experience on IBM Cloud – DMZR is preferable.
• Knowledge of KESMA is preferable.
• Experience with Elasticsearch is preferable.
