Aubay Belgium seeks an experienced Java Architect to lead the design and implementation of Java-based applications for public services in Brussels. You will analyze business needs, guide development, ensure architectural alignment, and document complex systems for maintainability.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in Java, strong architecture knowledge, and fluent French. The role involves collaborating across teams and staying current with OpenAPI, Docker/Kubernetes, and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java with at least 10 years of experience in a similar role and a strong understanding of application architecture and design patterns.
• Familiarity with Java modern development frameworks and tools.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with multiple partners, with proficiency in French (mandatory).
• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or a related field (additional certifications are a plus).

Responsabilités

• Oversee the design and implementation of Java-based applications and components, ensuring alignment with architectural standards.
• Conduct detailed analysis of business needs and develop tailored solutions, maintaining and updating support documents.
• Provide technical guidance in the development, operationalization, and improvement of processes, data, applications, and ICT services.
• Work in a team, advise, communicate, and pass on knowledge, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Possess excellent organizational and writing skills to document and clarify architectural concepts, using suitable models to represent systems and ensure consistency with the overall architecture.
• Master the entire software development cycle, stay updated with technologies used by the public sector (angular, Java, WebLogic, Fortify, Spring/SpringBoot, ActiveMQ Artemis, Docker/Kubernetes, Openshift, Gitlab-CI, OIDC, OAuth2, Grafana, Kibana, OpenAPI, DevOps, CI/CD), understand components, and have a vision for organizing applications into microservices.
