Elia Group in Brussels is seeking an experienced IT Solution Leads – Team Lead to guide a team of IT Solution Leads and Solution Architects. You will define the technology direction of a business domain, drive architectural excellence, and support scalable digital solutions to accelerate ELIA's digital transformation.

You will bridge business strategy with product delivery, manage dependencies, and ensure governance while coaching a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in IT/CS/Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience leading IT teams including Solution Architects and Technical Leads.

In this strategic leadership role, you will define the technology direction of a business domain, drive architectural excellence, and support the delivery of scalable and sustainable digital solutions to support the digital transformation of ELIA.

Job Description

As IT Solution Leads – Team Lead, you will act as the link between business strategy, product delivery, and technology execution. You will oversee a team of IT Solution Leads and Solution Architects, ensuring the right expertise, architecture, and technology decisions are in place to support the organisation's Product Operating Model.

You will collaborate with business, product, engineering, infrastructure, security, and architecture stakeholders to align roadmaps, manage dependencies, and drive successful delivery across products and domains.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the technology vision, solution roadmap, and architectural direction for the business domain.
• Translate business and product strategies into scalable, sustainable, and future-proof technology solutions.
• Coordinate dependencies across products, domains, platforms, infrastructure, and security teams.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and governance principles.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of IT Solution Leads and Solution Architects, fostering technical excellence and leadership growth.
• Manage the recruitment, onboarding, and development of internal employees and external specialists
• Assign the appropriate Solution Leads and Architects to product teams and support key technology and architecture decisions.
• Build strong partnerships with business, product, engineering, architecture, and platform stakeholders to drive alignment and successful delivery.
• Converge the roles of IT Solution Leads and Solution Architects into one role
• Shape the vision and guide the team through technological changes, such as the shift to Hybrid Cloud platforms, as well as organizational changes, including Agile/Scrum and the Product Operating Model.

Your Profile

• Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Engineering, Applied Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in IT, including several years in people leadership and technical management roles.
• Proven experience leading Solution Architects, Technical Leads, IT Project Managers, or similar technology professionals.
• Strong ability to translate business strategy into technology vision, architecture roadmaps, and sustainable digital solutions.
• Experience managing complex IT environments, cross‑functional stakeholders, and dependencies across multiple products and domains.
• Excellent leadership, coaching, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in a product‑oriented organisation or Product Operating Model (POM) environment is highly valued.
• Fluent in Dutch, French, and English; experience in the energy, utilities, or other regulated industries is an advantage.
