Job summary

Elia Group is seeking a high‑impact Domain Architect to join our Central IT Architecture team in Brussels. You will own two domains—Corporate IT and AI—and translate business strategy into scalable, future‑proof architecture across the organization.

You will lead architecture vision, governance and portfolio optimization while ensuring security, compliance and lifecycle management. This role blends strategy with hands‑on execution in a hybrid Brussels + Berlin travel context.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in IT architecture, enterprise architecture or digital transformation roles.
• Proven experience designing and governing complex IT landscapes in large-scale organizations.
• Strong knowledge of architecture frameworks and modelling standards such as TOGAF and ArchiMate.
• Hands-on experience with Domain‑Driven Design (DDD), Event Storming and Agile Architecture.
• Solid understanding of Corporate domains such as HR, Finance, Procurement and Corporate Services.
• Demonstrated ability to engage and influence stakeholders from executives to delivery teams.
• Experience balancing business value, cost, risk, security and long‑term sustainability in architecture decisions.
• Strong knowledge of AI architectures, governance and emerging tech including Generative AI, Agentic AI, RAG and Machine Learning.
• Fluent in Dutch or French with professional English; knowledge of the other national language is an asset.

As a Domain IT Architect, your mission is to ensure your domain(s) IT landscape is coherent, secure, operable, and future‑proof, enabling safe and reliable grid operations while aligning with Elia Group’s strategy and regulatory obligations.

In this role, you will take ownership of two key domains:

• Corporate, a broad business domain encompassing the enterprise’s corporate capabilities and supporting functions.
• Artificial Intelligence, a strategic technology domain focused on advancing and governing AI capabilities across the organization.

Your Profile
