Nexeo is seeking an Expert IT Functional Analyst to join a leading Belgian banking institution in Brussels. You will bridge business stakeholders, Product Owners, architects and technical teams, translating requirements into functional and technical solutions within an international Payments IT team.

Working in a multicultural Agile squad, you will contribute to API development, cloud/enterprise architecture alignment and end-to-end solution design, while supporting testing and production

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience as a Functional Analyst.
• Strong experience with complex IT systems and enterprise applications.
• Good understanding of both functional and technical IT concepts.
• Experience working with APIs and Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Strong knowledge of banking and payment products.
• Experience analysing payment processes and business requirements.
• Good understanding of business and functional analysis methodologies.
• Practical experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

Nexeo is currently looking for an Expert IT Functional Analyst to join one of Belgium’s leading banking institutions.

You will join an international Payments IT team working on innovative payment solutions, including blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT). As part of a multicultural Agile squad, you will act as the bridge between business stakeholders, Product Owners, architects and technical teams, translating business needs into detailed functional and technical solutions.

Your Responsibilities

• Analyse business needs and requirements related to international payments and payment products.
• Support Business Analysts and clients in identifying the most appropriate IT solutions.
• Propose alternative solutions aligned with enterprise architecture, security standards and IT strategy, while considering cost/benefit.
• Work closely with architects to define the overall solution architecture.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Owners to translate business requirements into Features and User Stories.
• Act as the interface between business stakeholders, Business Analysts and technical/asset teams.
• Coordinate the different IT teams involved in the delivery of a solution.
• Translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications.
• Define functional responsibilities and impacts across the different application components.
• Analyse application impacts and contribute to the detailed design of solutions.
• Work with technical teams to clarify requirements and ensure alignment between components.
• Follow up on development and testing activities to ensure the delivered solution matches functional and technical specifications.
• Support suppliers during development, integration and testing activities.
• Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of APIs and future improvements.
• Create and maintain comprehensive solution documentation.
• Support Test Engineers by defining test scenarios and test sets, analysing defects and helping resolve complex issues.
• Support release and deployment teams across different environments.
• Provide production support, analyse incidents and coordinate their resolution with the relevant teams.
• Maintain functional and technical documentation throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Collaborate with other squads and Tribes within the organization.

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience as a Functional Analyst.
• Strong experience working on complex IT systems and enterprise applications.
• Good understanding of both functional and technical IT concepts.
• Experience working with APIs and Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Strong knowledge of banking and payment products.
• Experience analysing payment processes and business requirements.
• Good understanding of business and functional analysis methodologies.
• Practical experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Comfortable working in multicultural and cross-functional teams.
