BNP Paribas Fortis is seeking a senior associate / junior VP level professional with 5–7 years of end-to-end M&A experience. You will lead financial modelling, client pitches and deal execution while mentoring junior team members in a collaborative advisory environment.

You will contribute to origination and business development, coordinating with clients and cross-border advisers to deliver complex transactions across industries in a team-based setting.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years’ experience executing M&A transactions end-to-end across deal origination, information memorandum, and negotiation.
• Able to independently run multiple deals and workstreams in parallel with limited supervision.
• Proficient in building and reviewing financial models in MS Excel (operating, DCF, LBO).
• Master's degree (or equivalent) in finance, economics, law or related field.
• Fluent in English with good knowledge of French and Dutch, both spoken and written.
• Experience mentoring and developing junior team members and managing team output.
• Strong commercial acumen and participation in origination, pitches and client relationships.

• You are closely involved in the structuring, analysis and execution of transactions on behalf of your clients, and play a key role in the day-to-day management of live mandates.
• You own the development of innovative and thought-provoking presentations addressing key strategic questions and options for your clients, and you present and defend your analysis directly with clients.
• You direct and quality-control the build of complex financial models (operating model, DCF, LBO), taking ownership of the analytical output used to assess transactions and to develop key transaction documentation.
• You manage, coach and develop a team of interns, analysts and junior associates, reviewing their financial modelling and presentations, and taking responsibility for the quality of the team’s output.
• You take end-to-end ownership of live deal execution, acting as a key point of contact for clients, leading coordination with other advisors, driving the due diligence process and ensuring smooth, well-controlled transactions.
• You actively contribute to business development and origination – generating deal ideas, helping to build and maintain client and prospect relationships, and preparing pitches.

YOUR TALENTS AND COMPETENCES

• As a senior associate / junior VP, you have 5 to 7 years’ experience executing M&A transactions end-to-end, with a proven track record across deal origination, information memorandum preparation and transaction negotiation.
• You are able to independently run multiple deals and workstreams in parallel, coordinating clients, external advisors and internal teams with limited supervision.
• You are highly proficient in building and reviewing financial models in MS Excel such as operating, DCF or LBO models, and can act as the final check on the team’s analytical work.
• You have a master’s degree (or equivalent) in finance, economics, law or other relevant fields.
• You are fluent in English and have a good knowledge of French and Dutch both spoken and written.
• You have demonstrated experience managing, mentoring and developing junior team members and taking responsibility for team output.
• You show strong commercial acumen and are comfortable contributing to origination, pitching and day-to-day client relationship management.
