Job summary

ING Belgium's Corporate Audit Services (CAS) BE is seeking an intern to join the Wholesale Banking and Business Banking audit team. You will participate in audits across ING Belgium and other ING locations, gaining exposure to risk assessment, control testing, and regulatory frameworks.

This internship offers hands-on experience with data analytics, fieldwork, and reporting in English, with guidance from senior auditors.

Responsibilities

• Participate in audits in various Wholesale Banking and Business Banking domains in ING Belgium and other ING locations.
• Learn a thorough understanding of the businesses & end-to-end processes audited, inherent risks, underlying regulatory requirements and ING-expected control frameworks.
• Assess whether key risks are adequately mitigated by assessing effectiveness of key controls.
• Participate in walkthroughs, meetings and data analytics.
• Learn to interact with stakeholders and manage expectations. Ensure that issues identified as a result of fieldwork have been discussed and agreed with all relevant stakeholders.
• Learn adequate tools and techniques (Data Analytics) to increase audit coverage and high quality control testing results.
• Learn to summarize findings and value added recommendations. Document the fieldwork test results and the supporting evidences in Team Mate+ (Audit Workflow) within the timelines agreed at the beginning of the audit.
• Learn to write audit reports in line with CAS report writing standards.

Corporate Audit Services (CAS) is a highly professional organisation with approximately 20 audit teams across the globe and comprises a diverse international team of around 400 members. Corporate Audit Services (CAS) BE is one of these teams and conducts and coordinates audits within ING BE. Working at ING Corporate Audit Services means working in a highly dynamic, international environment at the heart of ING, where everyone aspires to (continue to) be a front-runner in the field of auditing. To this end, we work with the very best people, whom we help to remain leading in their area of expertise. The Intern is part of the CAS Wholesale and Business Banking BE team, a dedicated team assessing the control environment withing this area. In this role, you will, together with your colleagues, audit processes within the Wholesale Banking and Business Banking domains to assess that controls have been designed adequately and implemented effectively.
