Job summary

eFinancialCareers is seeking an Interim Procurement Specialist to support a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical site in Belgium. The role focuses on strategic sourcing and direct materials for new site projects, with 4 days on site and one home-office day per week.

The ideal candidate has 3–7+ years in procurement, strong negotiation skills, and fluency in French and English. Travel to Strasbourg monthly is expected; SAP MM experience is required.

Qualifications

• 3-7+ years of professional experience in procurement, sourcing or strategic purchasing at specialist level.
• Experience with direct materials in GMP-regulated environments is preferred.
• Fluent French and English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Develop sourcing strategies for new site projects with Global Category Management and stakeholders.
• Manage RFQs and end-to-end supplier selection, including bid evaluation and negotiations.
• Handle sourcing for direct materials within GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environment.
• Negotiate and manage supplier contracts within global procurement frameworks.
• Build and maintain supplier relationships; monitor performance.
• Use market intelligence and price indices to challenge supplier price increases.
• Coordinate with Global and Local Procurement on short- and mid-term demand.
• Use SAP for procurement activities and support transactional purchasing teams.
