Job summary

Organon in Belgium is seeking a Procurement Specialist at our Heist-op-den-Berg site to connect suppliers, internal stakeholders, and global procurement teams. You will ensure materials are available at the right time and under the right conditions to support production operations.

The role emphasizes sourcing, contract management, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration across direct and indirect procurement, with opportunities to drive cost savings and ESG initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, supply chain, procurement, engineering or related field.
• Experience in direct procurement, or pharmaceutical sector experience in quality, engineering, supply chain or finance with procurement interest.
• Experience in contracting and understanding legal, compliance and commercial elements.
• Strong communications and influencing skills at site stakeholder level.
• Comfortable with ambiguity in a dynamic, high-speed environment and ability to prioritise.
• Interest and willingness to manage other categories if required.
• Results oriented with problem solving mindset and teamwork.
• Strong market knowledge, negotiation, supplier management and project management skills.
• Fluent in English and Dutch (strong preference).

Responsibilities

• Support strategy development and execution with cross-functional teams.
• Direct responsibility for multiple direct/indirect categories with regional suppliers.
• Organize strategic sourcing initiatives (RFI, RFQ) with digital tools.
• Independently prepare and negotiate contracts with suppliers.
• Build relationships and manage key suppliers to maximize value.
• Engage stakeholders and partner with business units; proactive communication.
• Involve early in cross-functional projects.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost management.
• Apply market knowledge and data analysis to sourcing decisions.
• Contribute to ESG goals including supplier diversity and sustainability.
