FMA Services is seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Control Technician for long-term assignments in the Limburg region and Port of Antwerp. You will maintain critical instrumentation and control installations in an industrial setting, focusing on reliability, safety, and quality.

The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance, calibration, fault analysis, and working with loop tests and P&IDs. A strong safety mindset and ability to work independently within a team are essential.

Qualifications

• Technical education in instrumentation and control technology, instrumentation, electromechanics, or equivalent.
• Experience as an Instrumentation and Control Technician or similar roles in industrial settings.
• Knowledge of industrial process instrumentation and calibration equipment.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of instrumentation and control installations.
• Calibrate, test and maintain industrial measuring instruments.
• Read and interpret P&IDs and loop diagrams; perform fault analysis and troubleshooting.
• Ensure safe operation and compliance with procedures in all tasks.

About the Position

To strengthen our technical teams, FMA Services is looking for an experienced Instrumentation and Control Technician / Instrumentation Technician for long-term assignments within industrial maintenance services in the Limburg region and the Port of Antwerp.

You will work in a technical maintenance environment where reliability, safety, and quality are central, and where you will be responsible for the proper functioning of critical instrumentation and control installations.

Your Responsibilities

• Preventive and corrective maintenance of instrumentation and control installations
• Calibrating, testing, and maintaining industrial measuring instruments
• Performing fault analysis and troubleshooting
• Detecting and resolving defects in instrumentation and control loops
• Checking and testing pressure, temperature, level, and flow measurements
• Maintenance and inspection of transmitters, switches, sensors, and control valves
• Performing loop checks and functional tests
• Checking analog and digital signals
• Working with HART communication and industrial calibration equipment
• Interpreting P&IDs, loop diagrams, data sheets, and electrical/instrumentation diagrams
• Recording and reporting performed maintenance and calibration work
• Supporting shutdowns, modifications, and smaller projects where necessary.
• Safely performing work according to the applicable procedures of FMA Services and our client

Your Profile

• Technical education in instrumentation and control technology, instrumentation, electromechanics, electricity, or automation
• Experience as an Instrumentation and Control Technician, Instrumentation Technician, or E&I Technician.
• Experience with industrial process instrumentation
• Knowledge of calibration and measurement equipment
• Knowledge of pressure, temperature, flow, and level instrumentation
• Experience with troubleshooting
• The ability to read technical diagrams and P&IDs
• A strong safety awareness
• An independent, accurate, and solution-oriented way of working

Experience within petrochemistry, chemistry, process industry, utilities, or other industrial maintenance environments is a strong asset.

Education & experience

Education: Technical education in instrumentation and control technology, instrumentation, electromechanics, or equivalent

Experience: Relevant experience as an Instrumentation and Control Technician or Instrumentation Technician within an industrial environment

Requirements

• Good command of Dutch is mandatory for all locations
• In possession of a valid VCA certificate, or willing to obtain one

• You function both independently and within a maintenance team
