Dexian Europe seeks an Infrastructure Engineer to join our team for an on-site, full-time role embedded with a global energy client. You will translate business needs into technical infrastructure solutions, support and enhance back-end systems, workstations, and IT devices.

You will collaborate with local and remote teams, liaise with vendors, and help deliver projects from ideation to deployment. The position requires 3–5 years of IT experience, fluent English, and willingness to travel

We seek to join our Dexian team, embedded in our global energy client a Infrastructure Engineer. This is a full-time, open-ended, B2B freelance, on-site role. It will involve both support and enhancement, as well as some project-based activity.

Job Description:

In this role, you will collaborate with local and remote technical client teams and their vendors to provide both support and enhancement of back-end infrastructure, workstations and IT devices. You will need to translate business requirements into technical solutions; you will represent IT in discussions and promote corporate standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide physical support for all aspects of IT network, compute, data/voice infrastructure, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues across office, field, and oil production sites.
• Liaise and execute tasks with global support teams and vendors.
• Perform network monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Contribute to end-to-end delivery of projects with a focus on localised processes associated with procurement, staging, installation and asset lifecycle management.
• Develop and maintain relationships with business contacts, ensuring problem resolution and facilitating system change management.
• Coordinate on-site and remote support, offering some after-hours (incl. weekend) assistance on a rotational basis (on call).
• Ensure IT standard processes and procedures are followed.
• Facilitate the end-to-end delivery of IT solutions from ideation, cost estimation, and requirements gathering through to deployment and support.
• Proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
• Some travel will be required to support operational and project deliverable requirements between Antwerp, Rotterdam and Brussels.

Skill Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you, as the ideal candidate, will need to demonstrate:

• Experience in physical IT infrastructure support, diagnosis, equipment handling, and knowledge of facility and business considerations.
• Proficiency in platforms for facilitating the delivery of IT infrastructure services, including but not limited to cloud-based solutions, virtualisation technologies, and networking.
• Technical expertise in client, workstation, storage and server hardware, telecommunication services, TCP/IP networking, and ServiceNow tools.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting issues related to power, cooling, and backup systems.
• Experience in large or multinational companies.
• Ability to apply design principles to create efficient and reliable cabling solutions across various environments.
• Strong interpersonal skills, and effective communication.
• Willingness to learn new technologies, adapt to change, and familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Customer service excellence with problem-solving skills.
• Ability to anticipate and identify problems, develop implementation plans, and work harmoniously in a team environment.
• Relevant network and service management certifications would be highly regarded.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of professional IT experience.
• Familiarity with the latest network technologies such as SD-WAN, Zero Trust, and SDP
• Fluent in English language both verbal and written.
• Basic proficiency in Dutch/Flemish is a plus, as most locations are in Flanders or the Netherlands

Computing Environment:

• Experience in Network support covering Radio/Wireless – Motorola, Cisco/ Juniper/Fortinet/ Palo Alto, Aviat, etc.
