Job summary

HMS Networks in Belgium seeks a Software Test Solution Developer to design, develop, and maintain test software for PCBAs and final products within our Industrial IoT focus. You will work in an Agile environment and collaborate across Design, R&D, Quality, IT, and Manufacturing.

Expect a hands-on role with long-term development, operational support, and continuous improvement, including automation and data utilization opportunities. A permanent contract and hybrid work arrangement are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software or Hardware/Electronics with 3–4 years of hands-on experience in industrial, embedded, manufacturing, or software-intensive environments.
• Experience developing software that interacts with electronic hardware.
• Strong Python development skills and knowledge of Linux, APIs, and version control.
• Familiarity with manufacturing/test systems and industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software for manufacturing test benches used for PCBAs and final products.
• Translate product and manufacturing requirements into clear test specifications.
• Ensure test solutions are reliable, maintainable, traceable, and aligned with HMS production test guidelines.
• Monitor test system performance and support high availability across manufacturing environments.
• Implement validation mechanisms such as self-tests, regression testing, and automated verification.
• Support deployment and integration of test solutions within production facilities.
• Contribute to standardization and reuse of test frameworks and methodologies.
