Job summary

Beaulieu International Group in Belgium seeks an Industrial Engineer to own complex automation projects from concept to implementation. You will improve production assets, drive digitalization, and align with safety and group policies while collaborating across divisions.

The role emphasizes hands-on delivery, IT/OT integration, and continuous learning to advance engineering excellence and operational performance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in industrial automation and OT environments.
• Hands-on with ownership from analysis to implementation.
• Knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal, E‑plan, industrial networks, machine safety standards, frequency converters, and drivetrains.
• Willingness to learn and expand expertise in safety, OT cybersecurity, data connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of automation projects from concept to implementation, safeguarding scope, planning, and budget.
• Evaluate make-or-buy decisions and coordinate automation solutions with external partners as needed.
• Deliver projects from mid-life upgrades to machine integration and new control systems.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, machine safety, cybersecurity standards, and group policies.
• Drive improvements to increase output, quality, and efficiency while reducing waste.
• Coordinate initiatives across divisions and translate best practices into measurable business value.
• Support data science initiatives through reliable data acquisition and ICT/MES integration.
• Execute automation tasks related to OT such as networks, camera vision, and ICT/MES integration.

As an Industrial Engineer, you take ownership of complex automation projects across Beaulieu International Group. You combine technical expertise with a hands‑on approach to improve production assets, strengthen connectivity, and help shape value that lasts. You work across divisions, support sites worldwide, and contribute directly to operational excellence, safety, digitalization, and long‑term business success.

Your responsibilities

• Take ownership of complex automation projects from concept to implementation, while safeguarding scope, planning, and budget.


• Evaluate make‑or‑buy decisions and either develop automation solutions yourself or coordinate external partners.


• Deliver projects ranging from mid‑life upgrades and retrofits to machine integration and the development of new control systems.


• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, machine safety requirements, cybersecurity standards, and group policies.


• Drive improvement initiatives that increase output, quality, and efficiency while reducing waste.


• Coordinate initiatives across divisions and translate best practices into measurable business value.


• Support data science initiatives through reliable data acquisition and the integration of ICT and MES applications.


• Execute and coordinate automation tasks and projects related to Operational Technologies, such as industrial networks, camera vision, integration of ICT/MES systems.


• Support the divisions with technical expertise in digital diagnostics.

Your profile

• You hold a Master's degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.


• You have at least 5 year's experience with industrial automation and operational technology environments.


• You work hands‑on and take ownership of technical challenges from analysis to implementation.


• You have a working knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal, E-plan, industrial networks, machine safety standards, frequency converters, and drivetrains.


• You are eager to learn and continuously expand your expertise in safety, OT cybersecurity, automation, and data connectivity.


• You communicate effectively in English and Dutch or French.
