Job summary

Akkodis in Belgium seeks a Design Lead to own multidisciplinary engineering activities and coordinate the design of complex industrial installations.

You will lead mechanical, piping, process, electrical, instrumentation and civil teams, oversee 2D/3D design, ensure coherence across disciplines, and drive robust technical interfaces.

The role requires 10+ years in design and 5+ years leading multidisciplinary teams, with EPC/process industry experience.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in design and engineering of industrial installations.
• 5+ years leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of equipment, piping, pumps, valves, tanks/vessels, instrumentation.
• Experience coordinating 2D/3D design activities.
• Experience in Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage or other Process Industries.
• Experience in an engineering office, EPC environment or multidisciplinary project team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams across disciplines.
• Oversee design and sizing of industrial installations and equipment.
• Coordinate 2D/3D designers and draftsmen.
• Manage technical interfaces and ensure design coherence.
• Anticipate technical challenges and propose solutions.
• Share expertise and develop internal competencies.
