Siemens Digital Industries Software is a leading provider of solutions for the design, simulation, and manufacture of products across many different industries.
Simcenter Simulation and Test Solutions help create a more sustainable future. Join the engineers developing the best possible products using the powerful predictive applications available through Simcenter.
By combining advanced engineering tools with industry expertise and dedicated support, we empower innovators to design, simulate, test, and deliver better products.
The Strategic Student Program’s STS Internship Program provides real-world engineering experience to students with an interest in simulation software, testing systems, and customer applications.
Interns receive the opportunity to contribute to innovation projects and gain practical experience using advanced simulation and testing technologies.
Upon completion of the internship, participants join the Siemens Software Early Careers network, increasing their visibility for future global graduate and associate-level opportunities.
2026B registration cycle runs from August 2026 through April 2027.
During this period, Siemens Digital Industries Software will review registered profiles and match suitable candidates with internship projects as opportunities become available.
Candidates may be contacted at any point during the registration period if their academic background, skills, interests, and availability align with an available project.
The exact duration and format depend on the academic requirements of the student, the university agreement, and the needs of the assigned project.
Candidates typically come from Master’s programs in areas such as: Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Physics, and Mathematics
Siemens Software normally issues its own internship agreement. The agreement must be reviewed and approved by the intern’s university before the internship can begin.
An exception applies to KU Leuven, which uses its own agreement process due to the formal cooperation agreement established between Siemens Software and the university.
International students holding a residence permit issued by another EU or EEA country are not eligible unless they also hold the appropriate Belgian authorization.
A residence permit issued by another EU or EEA country does not automatically grant the right to undertake an internship in Belgium.
Due to administrative constraints, Siemens Software cannot provide support for obtaining or converting a Belgian residence permit for the purpose of this internship.
Internship arrangements in Belgium are structured in accordance with local legal and market practices and are communicated transparently in line with Siemens’ pay-transparency principles and applicable European requirements.
This internship is an academic internship and does not constitute standard employment. As such, the internship is typically unpaid.
However, interns may be eligible to receive certain allowances or practical support in accordance with Belgian regulations, university requirements, local practice, and the individual internship arrangement.
As this is not a salaried employment relationship, no employee salary or standard employee benefits will apply.
Any applicable allowance or support will be communicated clearly to the candidate before the internship agreement is finalized.
This is a talent-pool opportunity and not a direct application to one specific internship role.

Candidates will be contacted when their profile aligns with an available opportunity, unless they have already been pre-selected by Siemens or a partner university.
Siemens reserves the right to close registration before April 2027 if a sufficient number of suitable profiles has been received.
Registration does not guarantee selection for an internship.
