Siemens Software is seeking an experienced Application Specialist to join the Engineering Enterprise Apps & Engineering AI portfolio. The role focuses on connecting Simcenter product lines, delivering advanced workflows, and accelerating customer adoption across automotive, aerospace or defense segments.

You will translate customer challenges into value through use cases, collaborate with product teams, and contribute to technical marketing efforts while occasionally traveling.

Qualifications

• 10+ years expertise as application engineer in simulation, leveraging AI, data and data management.
• Hands-on experience with Siemens' Simcenter EEA portfolio is a plus.
• Strong written, communication and presentation skills in English.

About the role

The Application Specialists team is an essential component of the Engineering Enterprise Apps & Engineering AI product management team by offering top-tier expertise in the solution portfolio as well as the key industry sectors and applications. With the team of application specialists we develop advanced workflows and best practices that boost our customers' productivity. Such workflows and best practices will directly impact our ability to accelerate sales cycles in pre-sales context, as well as being an essential instrument to achieve effective customer adoption and hence create expansion opportunities at our customers.

The work involves connecting the relevant product lines from the Simcenter portfolio, fostering advanced technical thought leadership, and maximizing the visibility and business success of the Simcenter portfolio.

Responsibilities

As Application Specialist you stand in the center of a continuously evolving solution portfolio bringing new features & functionalities with every release, and the dynamics of an equally fast evolving market where new trends and opportunities arise as a result of emerging new technology. The challenge of the application specialist will be to understand our customers’ current and future challenges and to articulate the value of the EEA portfolio through well documented, industry-relevant, example use cases that show our customer the potential of advancing their ways of working with our EEA portfolio.

You will look across the boundaries of individual products and will be able to identify synergies and opportunities for improvement at the interface of our technologies so as to deliver a seamless experience for our end users.

Activities also include

• Supporting portfolio developers, business development teams, sales and pre-sales teams in customer pursuits with dedicated Proof-of-Concept development and demonstration
• Relaying customer and market needs and trends to the product management teams
• Act as a sounding board to the product management teams for new requirement / specification development
• Active stakeholder in product milestone demonstrations, technical enablement, etc
• Assisting in the development of collateral for the relevant campaigns and technical marketing initiatives
• Participating and presenting at internal and external webinars, seminars and user conferences
• Promoting the portfolio through writing blog posts, posting videos, contributing in discussion forums etc.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone who is an excellent communicator and capable of translating a value proposition and associated content at the level of different audience. You are self-organized and know how to handle incoming requests from many different angles and varying priority, while creating high-quality deliverables. You are a permanent learner – whether product, market, trends, you stay up to date and well informed.

Specific qualifications we will be looking for :

• 10+ years expertise as application engineer in simulation ; leveraging AI, data and data management, and simulation process orchestration as tools
• Hands-on experience with Siemens' Simcenter EEA portfolio is a plus
• Hands-on experience in engineering verification and validation processes, through simulation and/or physical testing in either automotive, aerospace or defense industry. Awareness about the value of traceable, correctly annotated data to support reuse and improve efficiency and quality of results.
• Strong written, communication and presentation skills in English
• Knowledge of applicable solutions for documenting engineering workflows (SolutionLink, …) is a plus
• Able to travel occasionally

The primary locations for this opportunity are Romania, Belgium, and India. The applicable salary ranges for these locations are:

Romania: RON 145.300 – RON 276.000

Belgium: €53.500 – €96.300

This role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training. Siemens offers health and wellness benefits to employees (benefits availability varies by country).
