Siemens is seeking a Commissioning Engineer Building Automation to commission, test and optimize BMS on high-profile projects for the European Institutions. You will integrate HVAC, fire safety and security systems across client sites, with roughly 20% office work in Huizingen and travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in ICT/Automation or related field or equivalent experience.
• Strong ICT/software affinity; familiarity with servers, networks, virtualization, and backups.
• English and French fluency; Dutch a plus; customer-facing communication is essential.

Are you passionate about building automation and eager to work on high‑profile projects for the European Institutions? Then you could be the Commissioning Engineer Building Automation we are looking for.

In this role, you will commission, test, and optimize Building Management Systems (BMS), ensuring the seamless integration of HVAC, fire safety, and security systems. Working closely with colleagues and customers, you will help deliver smart, energy‑efficient buildings that meet the highest operational standards.

In this position, you will be partly employed at various client sites on Belgian territory, where you will work approximately 20% from our office in Huizingen. After a run‑in period, you may also be part of our on‑call service.

Tasks:

• Act as the main point of contact for the Siemens Building Management System (BMS) throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• Translate customer needs into an intuitive and user‑friendly BMS solution.
• Implement BMS solutions by configuring software, integrating subsystems, creating management interfaces, and managing user access.
• Collaborate with project managers, subsystem engineers, and technical support teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Maintain and optimize existing BMS installations through upgrades, security patching, and system migrations.
• Contribute to BMS standards and best practices by sharing knowledge, providing feedback, and supporting colleagues.

Your profile

• You hold a bachelor's degree in ICT, Automation, or a related field, or have equivalent experience.
• You have an affinity with software, applications and ICT. Servers, networks, virtualization, software installation, redundancy, backup hold no secrets for you.
• You are the face of the BMS installation at the customer. You are customer‑friendly, patient and stress‑resistant.
• Knowledge of underlying systems in buildings (fire protection, security, HVAC control) is a plus.
• You communicate fluently in English and French. Dutch is a plus.
• You are organized and manage your workload and tasks autonomously and independently.
• As a real team player, you can fully develop yourself in a team.
• An active security clearance is a plus.
