Atlas Copco Group in Wilrijk is seeking a Design & Product Engineer for heat exchangers to join the Airtec development team. You will strengthen cooler development with short design cycles, rapid prototyping, and agile decision‑making, collaborating with designers, production, test teams, suppliers, and customers.

You will size, evaluate, and optimize heat exchangers using in-house tools, report to the product development team leader, and operate in a hybrid work model at our Wilrijk site.

Qualifications

• Master degree in mechanical and thermodynamical engineering or equivalent technical experience.
• Strong interest in heat transfer, pressure drop, flow calculations, and mechanical design.
• Technical background or affinity with thermal engineering, calculation tools, simulation software, or energy systems.

Responsabilités

• Translate complex technical requirements into practical cooler concepts while balancing thermal performance, pressure drop, dimensions, cost and manufacturability.
• Drive fast design loops to reach a minimum viable product, coordinate prototypes, and perform hands-on checks in the workshop.
• Document data, drawings, specifications, bills of material, and lessons learned; report to the team leader in a hybrid Wilrijk facility.
