Atlas Copco Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to advance centrifugal compressor technologies. You will work with specialists across disciplines on the full development cycle from concept to field support, translating complex challenges into robust designs.

You will size and validate rotating components, perform FEA and rotor-dynamics analyses, and maintain engineering BOMs and documentation in a hybrid Wilrijk setup. English is required; Dutch is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent through experience.
• Experience in the design and development of mechanical systems or rotating equipment.
• Strong understanding of gears, shafts, rolling-element bearings and hydrodynamic bearings.
• Experience with engineering calculations, finite element analysis (FEA) and rotor dynamics.
• Familiarity with DFMEA, design reviews and engineering risk assessment methodologies.
• Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and engineering standards.
• Experience supporting prototype development, testing and failure investigations.
• Structured way of working with strong attention to detail and documentation quality.
• Ability to manage and maintain engineering BOMs and product structures.
• Strong team player with good communication skills.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch is considered an advantage.
