Atlas Copco Group in Wilrijk is seeking a design & product engineer for heat exchangers to accelerate cooler development. You will size, evaluate and optimize heat exchangers using in-house calculation tools, collaborating closely with designers, production, test teams, suppliers and internal customers.

Qualifications

• Master degree in mechanical and thermodynamical engineering or equivalent.
• Strong interest in heat transfer, pressure drop, flow calculations, and mechanical design.
• Experience with calculation tools, simulation software, or energy systems.
• Professional English communication with international stakeholders.
• Entrepreneurial, agile, curious team player who thrives on speed, values short feedback loops, challenges the status quo, and takes full ownership.
• Experience with product development, prototypes, heat exchangers, compressors, or thermal systems is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Translate complex requirements into practical cooler concepts balancing thermal performance and manufacturability.
• Drive fast design loops, coordinate prototypes, and document data, drawings, BOMs, and lessons learned.
• Report to the team leader and operate in a hybrid setup at the Wilrijk facility.
• Raise risks early and push decisions forward with clear communication.
