Kuwait Petroleum (Belgium) NV is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to design and lead hybrid and multicloud environments. You will connect on-prem systems with cloud platforms, drive secure governance, and optimize performance across international teams.

The role requires 7+ years in IT infrastructure and cloud architecture, deep AWS/Azure/GCP knowledge, and hands-on skills in Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes. Remote, international, full-time position with executive visibility.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in IT or Information Security
• 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and cloud architecture
• Experience with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
• Design solutions across hybrid/multicloud and avoid lock-in
• Automation with Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, or Pulumi
• Proficient with Docker and Kubernetes and modern platform engineering
• Cloud security best practices: IAM, encryption, Zero Trust
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR compliance
• Design secure, scalable networks across cloud and on-premises
• Monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Azure Monitor, CloudWatch
• Cost optimization and analytical mindset
• Strong communication and ownership

• Define and enforce cloud governance frameworks, policies, and best practices

• Explore new technologies and translate them into practical, forward-looking solutions
• Optimize cloud usage and control costs through smart monitoring and continuous improvement
• Guide engineers and operations teams. Your leadership builds confidence, ownership, and expertise
• Manage vendors and negotiate cloud service agreements that deliver value
• Keep architecture clear and structured with strong documentation and standards

This is you

• You hold a master’s degree in IT, Information Security, or a related field
• You bring 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and cloud architecture
• You design solutions across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform, and understand their core services inside out
• You build hybrid and multicloud environments that avoid lock-in and stay flexible
• You automate infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, or Pulumi
• You work with Docker and Kubernetes and understand modern platform engineering
• You apply cloud security best practices, including IAM, encryption, and Zero Trust principles
• You understand compliance frameworks like ISO 27001, SOC 2, or GDPR
• You design secure, scalable networks across cloud and on-premises environments
• You monitor performance with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Azure Monitor, or CloudWatch
• You optimize costs and improve efficiency with a sharp, analytical mindset
• You communicate clearly, influence stakeholders, and take ownership
