Atlas Copco Group in Wilrijk is seeking an algorithm researcher to develop control algorithms and AI-driven solutions for compressed air systems, aiming to optimize performance and energy efficiency.

You will prototype in MATLAB/Simulink or Python, collaborate with mathematicians, physicists, software engineers and mechatronics experts, and contribute across the full development lifecycle from concept to post-market support.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physics, Mathematics, CS, robotics, or related engineering field.
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink or Python.
• Interest in control theory, AI, and algorithm development.
• Experience with embedded C/C++, Git, and Linux is a plus.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsabilités

• Research novel algorithms and validate them for compressed air systems.
• Prototype solutions in MATLAB/Simulink or Python.
• Collaborate with mathematicians, physicists, software engineers and mechatronic experts.
• Participate in end-to-end development from concept to post-market support.
• Track AI/machine learning trends and build partnerships with academia/industry.
