Atlas Copco Group in Wilrijk seeks a project engineer – calculation to analyze, size, and optimize subsystems for energy conversion. You will run thermodynamic and mechanical calculations, create virtual models toward digital twins, and collaborate with CFD/FEA teams across global facilities.

You will define technical specs, test programs, monitor prototypes, and apply ISO, CE, PED, and ASME standards. Hybrid work at Wilrijk, and a culture that values learning and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics and mechanical design.
• Experience with mathematical modeling or simulation software (MATLAB/Simulink).
• Fluent English; Dutch is a plus.
• Ability to define CFD/FEA boundary conditions and digital twins.
• Knowledge of ISO, CE, PED, ASME standards.
• Independent, hands-on team player with clear communication.

Responsabilités

• Define technical specifications for mechanical and thermodynamic systems.
• Run calculations to expedite machine design (heat transfer, fluid mechanics, efficiencies).
• Develop virtual models toward full digital twins.
• Collaborate with CFD/FEA teams by defining boundary conditions and evaluating results.
• Define test programs and monitor prototype testing.
• Analyze field data and apply international standards (ISO, CE, PED, ASME).
