Daikin Europe’s EMEA Development Centre in Ghent develops HVACR products including heat pumps and ventilation systems. The role focuses on structural engineering, collaborating with a team of 3D designers to define mechanical specs, select parts, and optimize assembly.

The engineer will ensure product compliance, perform structural simulations, and drive action plans across Sales, Procurement, Quality and Production while coordinating with Ghent and Ostend teams.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering (mechanical, electromechanics or similar).
• Strong initiative and technical ownership.
• Team player with problem-solving skills.
• Interest in HVACR technologies and sustainability.
• Excellent English communication; travel between Ghent and Ostend may be required.

Responsabilités

• Define mechanical specifications of products per sales requests and regulations.
• Develop mechanical design (part selection and assembly) with 3D designers.
• Ensure compliance and verify via documentation, calculation, or testing.
• Conduct structural simulations to address testing results.
• Coordinate with Sales, Procurement, Quality and Production as liaison.
