Job summary

CellCarta in Belgium is hiring an Associate Assay Development Scientist to join a dynamic Assay Development Unit. You will support the optimization and validation of IHC, RISH, FISH, and CTC assays used in clinical trials.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, coordinate project activities, ensure quality and regulatory compliance, and contribute to successful assay development. A Master's degree in Life Sciences and strong English writing skills are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Life Sciences (preferred Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Bioengineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or Biochemistry).
• Proficiency in histology basics and automated immunohistochemical techniques.
• Strong written and oral English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Assay Development team across all project phases, including design, scheduling, tracking, data analysis and report preparation.
• Coordinate smooth transition of scheduled experiments to the lab; role focuses on supporting execution rather than hands-on work.
• Engage with internal stakeholders to ensure clear, timely, and transparent communication.
• Proactively anticipate issues, provide updates, and collaborate to meet project goals.
• Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards for intended use.
