Job summary

CHEP in Bornem is seeking a Dutch and English-speaking Health & Safety Lead to own safety performance at the Bornem Manufacturing Plant. You will partner with plant leadership, champion our Zero Harm philosophy, and ensure full compliance with regulatory and internal standards.

This is a high-impact, visible leadership role where your expertise will directly influence culture, performance, and continuous improvement across a dynamic production environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Health & Safety leadership role within manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of local HSE legislation and regulatory frameworks.
• IOSH/NEBOSH qualification or Belgian Preventieadviseur Level 1, 2, or 3 certification (or equivalent).

In this high-impact role, you’ll partner closely with plant leadership, champion our Zero Harm philosophy, and ensure full compliance with regulatory and internal standards.

Experience & Capability

• Proven experience in a Health & Safety leadership role within manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of local HSE legislation and regulatory frameworks.
• IOSH/NEBOSH qualification or Belgian Preventieadviseur Level 1, 2, or 3 certification (or equivalent)
• Experience managing HSE systems, audits, and compliance processes.
• Demonstrated ability to use data and insights to drive safety improvements and corrective actions.
• Experience leading incident investigations and implementing preventative measures.
