Job summary

Platform Science, Inc. in Belgium seeks a Head of Product Management to lead the European Mobility product organization.

You will own the product strategy, portfolio roadmap, and execution across eight European countries, overseeing a 16-person team of Senior Product Managers, Product Owners, UI/UX, and Technical Writers. Qualifications

• 8+ years in product management with leadership experience in B2B environments.
• Domain expertise in transportation, telematics, fleet management, or related SaaS/hardware environments.
• Strategic and commercial acumen with multi-country roadmaps and budget management.
• Technical understanding of software architecture, SaaS, web/mobile apps, hardware integration, and telco constraints.
• Strong cross-cultural communication and relationship-building skills across international teams.
• Willingness to travel to various European locations (approx. 25%).
• Education: Master’s/Bachelor’s in CS/Engineering/Business or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a multi-regional team of Product Managers and Product Owners across Europe.
• Cultivate a collaborative, safe, continuous-learning environment and guide backlog health, stakeholder alignment, market validation, OKRs, and customer discovery.
• Structure teams for optimal allocation across maintenance, growth initiatives, and regional localization.
• Define and execute the multi-year product strategy for Mobility across European markets; influence NA roadmap for global products.
• Oversee end-to-end lifecycles from market analysis to go-to-market enablement and deprecation.
• Contribute to the executive leadership team, align commercial strategy and regional expansion.
• Manage the product portfolio budget, forecast revenue impacts, and monitor KPIs.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Sales & Marketing, Customer Support, and Operations for releases.
• Act as executive sponsor for key regional customers and partners; monitor market trends across Europe.

About The Role

We are seeking a strategic, visionary, and people-first Head of Product Managment to lead our European Mobility product organization.

Reporting directly to the General Manager of Europe Mobility, you will take full ownership of our product strategy, portfolio roadmap, and execution across 8 European countries. In this role, strategic vision must be paired with outstanding people leadership. You will manage, mentor, and grow a multi-regional team of 16 people (including Senior Product Managers, Product Owners, UI/UX, and Technical Writers), fostering a culture of trust, accountability, continuous coaching, and customer-centric execution. You will oversee and steer a solution portfolio that integrates SaaS platforms, telematics hardware, telco interfaces, and market-specific fleet management capabilities.

Essential Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Growth

• Lead and Inspire: Build, coach, and retain a high-performing team of Product Managers and Product Owners distributed across multiple European hubs.
• Culture & Mentorship: Cultivate a collaborative, psychologically safe, and continuous-learning environment. Guide your team on backlog health, stakeholder alignment, market validation, OKR setting, and customer discovery best practices.
• Resource & Capacity Management: Structure teams effectively to ensure optimal allocation across core maintenance, strategic growth initiatives, and regional localization.

Product & Portfolio Strategy

• Portfolio Strategy: Define and execute the multi-year product strategy for Mobility solutions across European markets, aligning product goals with broader business unit growth targets.
• Roadmap Ownership & Global Influence: Own the European product roadmap while actively influencing the North American (NA) roadmap for common global products, balancing short-term technical enhancements with long-term technological standards and market opportunities.
• Lifecycle Governance: Oversee end-to-end product lifecycles—from market analysis and requirement definition to go-to-market enablement and deprecation.

Executive Leadership & Commercial Alignment

• Senior Leadership Team (SLT): Serve as an active contributor to the executive leadership team running the Europe Mobility business, influencing commercial strategy, operational direction, and regional expansion.
• Financial Oversight: Manage the product portfolio budget, monitor product KPIs, forecast revenue impacts, and ensure product financial health.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with Engineering, Go-To-Market (Sales & Marketing), Customer Support, and Operations to ensure complete operational readiness for product releases.

Market & Customer Focus

• Customer Voice: Act as an executive sponsor for key regional customers, partners, and enterprise accounts across Europe, integrating feedback into product decisions.
• Market Intelligence: Monitor fleet management, telematics, and logistics technology trends across target countries to anticipate threats and capture market share.

Experience & Qualifications

• Proven Leadership: 8+ years in product management with a strong track record of leading, mentoring, and developing teams of Product Managers and Product Owners in a B2B environment.
• Domain Expertise: Prior experience in the transportation industry, telematics, fleet management, logistics, mobility software, or multi-layered SaaS/hardware environments is highly required.
• Strategic & Commercial Acumen: Proven experience serving on leadership teams, setting multi-country roadmaps, managing product budgets, and driving business metrics/OKRs.
• Technical Understanding: Deep understanding of software architecture, SaaS models, web/mobile applications, hardware integration, and telco constraints.
• Communication: Exceptional cross-cultural communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills across international cross-functional teams.
• Travel Requirements: Willingness and ability to travel to various European office locations and customer sites (:25% of the time).
• Education: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent practical experience.
• Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory. A good understanding of Dutch and/or French is a strong advantage.
